Step One: Open up Minecraft.jar by holding in the windows button and clicking "R" and typing in %appdata% then search, you will find a folder called .Minecraft, once this has been located, go into the "bin" and right clicking minecraft.jar once this has been done click "open with" then open it with winrar.

Step Two: Scroll down the folders until you come across META-INF delete this as you won't need it.

Step Three: Scroll down to "Title and open it up, in there you will find a .txt file called splash open that then delete everything inside it then type what you want.

Note: make sure you use speech marks when typing the text e.g. "hello" -- this would come up on the title screen in yellow "hello"

Step One: Open minecraft.jar and head down to "lang" once inside the folder you will want to be opening the file called en_US.lang.

Step Two make sure it is opened in Notepad++ once done you will want to be locating the lines we are editing which are these [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Step Two you have now located this, you will want to know what is what and the aim of this tutorial is to edit the main menu so this is line: 10,11,12,13,14.

Step Three: now you have edited the last part of the line to whatever desired you will now want to color them, the colors are:

4 Red
c Rose
6 Gold
e Yellow
2 Green
a Lightgreen
b Lightblue
3 Cyan
1 Navy
9 Blue
d Lightpurple
5 Purple
f White
7 Lightgray
8 Gray
0 Black

Now to color the titles we would want to add the desired code e.g. red to the start of the sentence so it looks like this :
