The Window Mod/Led Case alone is about 100 bucks.

It's an entire case replacement...

This is not a phat360 mod...Parts are not cheap for SLIM thus the higher pricing...

Modding on phat 360's when they first came out=expensive due to the parts prices...

SLIM is new so it won't be cheap compared to phat360.

Now you have it.... ;)
