1. First we have to setup Dashlaunch. The version included in the link is 2.22 and works with all FreeBOOT revisions (9199, 12611, 12625, 13146). You don't need to be on the latest dashboard to install it. Drag the Dashlaunch folder to a USB or FTP it to the HDD.

2. Before we install Dashlaunch, we will need to have the launch.ini setup. This file basically tells dashlaunch what to do when you boot up your jtag. This file needs to stay on the top layer of your HDD. Right click launch.ini and open it in notepad.

You should see this

The one I included already has Xexmenu as the default. If you know how to change the paths you can do it yourself. If you have Xexmenu on a USB, change Hdd to Usb. Here are some examples.

Ignore the Settings for now. The only thing you need to worry about is make sure PingPatch is set to true. This lets you connect to anyone with a jtag via xLink Kai.

3. Now put the edited launch.ini and the dashlaunch folder on your HDD. The launch.ini should be on the Top most layer of your HDD like so...

4. Launch the default.xex inside the Dashlaunch/Installer folder. (Make sure the launch.ini is on your HDD on the top layer). You should see a black screen with white letters.
It will ask you to install or exit. Hit A to install.

It will than ask you to update your settings (launch.ini) Hit no.

It will lastly ask you to update your freeBOOT patches. To avoid problems, hit no and than shutdown

5. After Dashlaunch turns off your xbox, turn it back on and it should boot right to xexmenu. If it freezes on the boot screen, you edited your launch.ini wrong and need to fix it. Now we are gonna setup Freestyle Dash. Put the folder anywhere on your HDD and start it up.

6. Go to your settings and edit them to your liking. I am not gonna make a section for this because it is to your liking. Just make sure under Content Settings > Manage Game Paths, set that up right so your games show in the dashboard.

7. Now in the pack you downloaded earlier, go into xLink Kai folder, than Windows and launch the file. Make sure you install it to C:\Program Files\XLink Kai\

Start the KaiEngine in your program files and it should show up in your taskbar near your clock. Right click the icon, and go to Configuration.

Make your settings like mine and than hit Save.

8. Now in the xLink Kai Pack, launch the shortcut and sign up and make an account. Confirm the email and what not and you should be good. Make sure your computer and your Jtag are connected to the same router. Go in Freestyle Dash under the xlink Kai section and hit sign in/out and type your username and PW. If done correctly, it should say System attached to xLink Engine.

1. Now I will show you how to join a game on xLink. Launch the engine and click on Game Arenas

2. Than go to xbox 360 on the left side and find what you want to play.

3. I am in the MW2 arena now. To make a game, click the pencil on the far left. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

People can now join your game. Just go to system link in MW2 and your jtag friends can join

Well I'm going to work on the xlink part now.
I installed the newest dash launch a while ago.
So as I said earlier, I'll join soon. 8)'

Yes dashlaunch removes this patch if you have your launch.ini edited right. The one provided should be good to go
