Ok, so there is a couple of things I see regularly in this forum, and I would like to address them now, and save a load of spam

"I've got an ISO for a game, how do I play it on my JTAG?"

Ok, so you've downloaded an ISO from whatever source(Of course you already have the game and are just making a backup, otherwise this is highly illegal) and you want to know how to put it on your JTAG.

First, load up XeX menu, or FSD or whichever file explorer you use on your JTAG, then, in your Games folder, create another folder with the games name.

Now on your computer, you will need a program called "WX360" which can be downloaded here
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Open that up, then click the little file icon, then navigate to your ISO, once there, hit extract all(just next to the file) And then wait patiently while it extracts all the files to the specified folder.

Ok! So I now have playable files, but what is the easiest way to get them onto my Xbox?

For this, you will need a program called FlashFXP(there are other FTP programs, but i like FlashFXP) You can download it here
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Ok, so open up FlashFXP, and on your JTAG, load up xex menu, and hit the right bumper a few times, until you can see your IP address.
Now on FlashFXP, hit the lightning bolt on the top right toolbar, and then hit Quick Connect. In the Server box, type your JTAG's IP, and then user and password will both be "xbox", then hit connect.
Now you are all connected, navigate through the directories until you find the folder you created, then, drag and drop all the game files you extracted, into that folder, they will appear in the bottom left box. Right click any of the files, and hit, "Transfer Queue" and the files will start transfering (progress can be seen by a small green bar mid bottom) The process will take between 5 and 15 minutes.

After that, the game should be on your xbox, and you are free to play it.

Cool, I have the game, but what if I want DLC?

So now the game is on, you want the DLC, I am going to use a Black Ops map pack for this, because it seems to be the most commonly asked.
First, download the map pack, once downloaded, make sure there is one single file, and then load up FlashFXP again. And then on the JTAG, navigate to:
HDD1>Content>0000000000000000>41560855>00000002
You will probably need to create the last directory.
So! On FlashFXP navigate to that directory, and copy over the DLC file you just downloaded.
Now you will need a program called XM360, which can be downloaded here -
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Copy xm360 over to your JTAG using FlashFXP, then, on your JTAG, run the default.xex and xm360 will load up.
Now on the left side you will see a little tab that says DLC, click that, then you should see "First Strike Map Pack" Or, "Escalation Map Pack" which ever you have downloaded, and they will have a little locked padlock next to them, on the left hit unlock all, and the padlock should be unlocked. To my understsnding, this just removes the licence checks. (This can also be used to unlock arcade games, I recommend south park when you are drinking )

The map pack should now be unlocked and ready to play. Please be aware, the lates TU is needed to play Call of the Dead.

I will probably update this thread with pictures when I can be bothered

Very nice posts noneed.

Although if I am correct in saying, you need an official MS HDD to store DLC on a Jtag or retail.

This is due to the console only search the Micrsoft HDD for any DLC,thus ignoring any external HDD's storing DLC.

I may be wrong or I may be outdated but this used to be,and may still be the case.

I'll try putting my BO's DLC onto my Jtag's external later and see if it works.

You dont need an official MS HD. Use Freestyle dash and it all works cool.

Meh, never really thought about it, I always use my Xbox HDD for it. Even with the confirmation, I will try it later to make sure, and then update the post But for now... PUB!
