Engineer Isaac Clarke returns for another blood-curdling adventure in the sequel to the critically acclaimed Dead Space. After waking from a coma on a massive space city known as "The Sprawl", the lone survivor of a horrific alien infestation finds himself confronting a catastrophic new nightmare.

Battling dementia, hunted by the government, and haunted by visions of his dead girlfriend, Isaac will do whatever it takes to save himself and dominate the gruesome onslaught. With an arsenal of tools to dismember Necromorphs and new determination, an engineer will bring the terror to space.

Dead Space 2 features new tools to gruesomely slice and dismember the Necromorphs complement Isaac's signature plasma cutter, empowering him as he meets new characters, explores epic Zero-G environments, and fights against a relentless Necromorph onslaught. Survival isn't the only thing on Isaac's mind in Dead Space 2 - this time, he calls the shots!

Chaos Hits The Sprawl:

Tear Through Space In Zero G:
-Fire up Isaac's suit boosters to rocket around in zero gravity like never before. Explore the depths of the Sprawl and encounter new weightless combat and physics-based puzzles with full 360 movement.

Story
Spare underwear - check.
Sun still in the sky - check.
Curtains wide open - check.
Any open liquid containers are out of leg/arm swinging distance - check.
Then we're ready to begin...
The sequel to arguably one of the (if not the) most terrifying video games that ever hit the shelves is out, and bulimic pretzels everywhere are swapping their laxatives for a console and copy of Dead Space 2 - if this doesn't get things moving, nothing will.
Wasting no time in shortening our lives (real, not game) we find ourselves in control of the main character from the first game 'Isaac Clarke' in the hospital of a space station named 'the Sprawl'. We're constrained by a straightjacket, it's dark, there's strobe lighting effects giving us the occasional glimpse of our surroundings, there's blood on the walls, and we can hear something moving close by. It's about now we take a first glance at that spare pair of underwear on the couch next to us, making sure they're on standby - they're still there, good, then let's continue. As you progress through the corridor of the damned inhabited with alien hell spawn tied to tables, and half emerging from panels above your head, swinging madly at you (still in straightjacket), you start to think Lego Star Wars wasn't the lame option after all. All isn't lost yet however, as you hear a voice from an intercom giving you directions on where to go for aid. Once out of the straightjacket and armed with the first weapon of the game (plasma cutter) you can begin your quest for 'the Marker' - the cause of this hell on ear...station, which has been rebuilt purposely to cater for the protagonist's own agenda - so you can destroy it and bring an end to this madness. To get there though you must fight through the nine circles of hell, as well as your own mental flashbacks/instabilities resulting from events that took place in the first game, and all to give your own life as sacrifice for its destruction. Will Isaac make it there, will he have to forfeit his life, and will you need those spare pants... I'll let you find that out for yourself. ;)

Gameplay
You control Isaac from an over the shoulder viewpoint with the player model off centre to the left or right depending on whether you set up your play style as right or left handed. This camera positioning brings an element of uniqueness to the game, and a feeling that the developers have brought you something shiny and new to wrap your fingers around. There's no HUD in this game so holographic projections from your suit display video segments, ammo counts, etc. There is a selectable menu provided by the workbench when you find safe zone areas, allowing for suit/gun/perk upgrades that can be bought or traded for - you must collect power nodes to upgrade your suit perks, and find schematics in level to unlock new gun types. As well as guns, Isaac can harness the power of two special abilities; the stasis module (allowing you to slow down enemies or objects) and the kinesis module (allowing you to handle objects which cannot be maneuverer by hand).
While the main aspect of the game has been built into the single player campaign, there is a multiplayer element which consists of two four player teams; humans vs demons in team objective battles.

Graphics
The graphics can't be slated; while the atmosphere is of a horror nature and therefor dark (allowing the developers some leeway - players won't notice everything in as high a contrast as would normally be present) the detail that's gone into characters and staging alike are very impressive. Metal and blood effects especially have obviously been taken time over - that not-too-red liquid drip oozing from a monster's mouth is very disconcerting! When outside of the space station the 3D star effects give an excellent feeling of the vastness of space, and the physics of movement has been given the perfect balance of realism in both running and zero-g levels.

Controls
The controls are standard FPS and as such feel quite natural so the game is easy to pick up and run with. Too many developers now introduce their own control systems in a bid to bring their title uniqueness, while ending up with a game that's clunky and tends to pull the users attention away from what should be important. It may be a matter of preference, but I've always found the best games have standard control setups and unique in-game features, instead of the other way around.

sorry 1 of the worst and hardest game i played :suicide:
multiplayer is horrible if u get to play it because it probaly take u an hour to get into a match. i hav gr8 connection and it took me 45min to get into a game. single player has a good storyline but almost impossible to beat. i do not suck either but i did not enjoy playing this at all. if u think sreaming at your tv is fun then i would recomend this game to u. the bottom line is DO NOT GET THIS GAME. :!:

Holy beep you have more rep than my friend TTG SEAN but I think dead space 2 was intense and a little scary too, but the graphics are unmatched to games like COD MW1-Black ops, it also has a unique team player multiplayer mode which has a ranking system like COD MW2. This game lacks a COOP Campaign which would go perfect in the game despite its long story mode.
I sure hope there's a part 3 maybe with a Coop mode. Also I realized the MP Searching isn't as great because it takes awhile to get in a game:(

Oh yeah and a troll :trollin: man I love these HAHA

I thought it was an excellent game except for the stuiped upgrading, ok here is the scenario im trying to create,"You barely make it past a group of Enhanced slashers and Stalkers manage to find one power node in all the chaos and you go to the last bench for the rest of the chapter and realize you either have to keep it or use it for a dumb 'weld'. SERIOSLY WHY??? Why couldn't they just get rid of the welds so the upgrading system would be Good! Besides that problem there are the Guardians, the manual says you cant get past these guys and they werent screwing around either, even if you slow'em down,"Oh, look it's another tentacle!" :C What were they thinking, if they wanted you not to go past they should have made it where it has some tentacles blocking the passage untill you kill it, not some random UNSTOPPABLE tentacle. Besides that it's decent.
