I'm not one to make topics on TTG anymore but I am genuinely curious about what you guys would tell your younger selves if you had a chance. I don't know if this was already a previous thread.

I'd probably tell myself to not be as anti-social as I was, I barely went out and I probably lost a lot of chances to meet new people and you know, socialize. My addiction to videogames was pretty damn intense and I only cared about gaming; people didn't matter to me IRL, only my online friends were important.

I would also obviously tell myself to invest in some incredibly powerful companies when I got older (Amazon, Apple, Bitcoin, etc.) because I'd obviously want to be rich, tf.

What would you guys tell your younger self?

A bunch of things to be honest.

First and foremost, tell myself to sign the adoption papers my uncle wanted after my grandfather died (whole thing that was sketchy as to how I was legally written to my grandfather as my parent, not getting too much into that.) Doing that would have prevented my mother from having any chance of moving me from Russia to America, since no good has come in my life since moving here.

Definitely to have never started taking drugs in my mid teens, specifically becoming addicted to whatever sleeping pills I could find.

I guess tell myself not to drink as much as I have these past years, for more reasons than one.

Tell myself to stop overthinking things the past year and just relax.

If all else fails, tell myself to not rush headfirst into something very important to me - only ended up causing problems.

Nothing like what lottery to play or teams to bet on or anything, money only fixes so many problems and truthfully, more money wouldn't fix any of the problems I have going on in my life now.

Try harder, not to smoke (did it for a year when I was younger) worst mistake to date.

if i could tell my younger self stuff it would probably be to not quit hockey, dont quit skateboarding, and dont let video games distract me..

id also tell myself to try my hardest in highschool because its really gonna matter in the end.

and the most important thing id tell myself is to talk to the girl i sat beside in grade 9 when i was too scared to, so she wouldnt get abused in her relationships and my chances with her wouldve been definite.

now that im thinking about this its really depressing.. if ive never played video games or got into them heavy, my life would be completely different. i could be playing top level hockey. If i tried harder in school when it started maybe i wouldve been more confident with my future. Or even with that girl, i wouldnt feel lonely and went through the gut wrenching feelings that broke me down and mentally destroyed me. I couldve have honestly been living the life ive dreamed of if i told myself those things and ill be honest, there were so many nights i wished i could go back in grade 8, 6, 5, or even further back and change my choices.

the best part about thinking about this is you can tell yourself to change and tell your on going future self what to do from past mistakes. Sorry i made this a bit long or if it doesnt make sense (im kinda **** up rn) but yeet, very fun topic to reply on from my end
