This should be stickied, or global announcements.

Detailed and very helpful!

Ahh, yes. I've recently found out that I have had people who aren't signed up on TTG watching my topic and messaging people on Xbox who post claiming to be me, saying they will do a recovery and to send their details to this guy on Xbox. He said TTG servers were down which is why he asked for them on Xbox!

The main thing you need is a brain and some decent common sense, you can check into more detail if the person you are talking to it legit or not. As HTTK said, check the resources! Do they have proof who it is, as I had someone saying TTG is offline you could check and see. Luckily the person who messaged me was smart enough to look on TTG and to contact me.

There are some sly people out there who will try their very hardest to scam

This is all obvious stuff, but it's nice to see someone make a post to make people more aware of it.

I saw your comment that more people should receive the badge and personally I don't think that should be the case. If Mortar's topic is updated, at the moment there are 24 users including myself which hold the Trusted Seller badge and I think that's great. If they just started giving out the badge to all these hosters that have a ton of vouches the badge would start to have less meaning to it. Yeah there are topics with a lot of vouches, but most of the time, most of those vouches are from free services so that kind of defeats the purpose of the "seller" part in the badge.

Still a nice post overall so good job on that!

Out of the 24 people with the badge, how many do you generally think still actively sell? No where near
