After spending over 140 hours in Global Offensive alone, I can attest that it is my favorite multiplayer game of all time. If it were not for the Fallout series, it would be my favorite game, PERIOD. The learning curve is very steep, and you'll probably spend the first 20 hours wondering why you shot a full clip into someone and none of the bullets hit, only to see the person turn around and kill you with one quick burst. After understanding that each weapon has its own unique spray pattern and bullets don't necessarily stay within the crosshair, your skill level grows exponentially each day as you play with players better than you in competitive matchmaking. What makes Counter Strike such a different game than any other isn't just the mechanics, but also the level of strategy involved. If I had to create a metaphor, Counter Strike would be chess, while Call Of duty would be the lowly shoots and ladders.

I own the game myself, its fun and very competitive but the console version is just horrible!

This is a great game, people who aren't familiar to the Counter Strike game will have difficulty playing this game. The graphics are not the best but they are good, and the game is fun to play, the only thing I don't understand about this game is why people spend 400$ on a virtual knife, it's just a game! All together, this is an amazing game that I think everybody that like FPS games should play.
