So, you want to play your PS2 backups on your (non-jailbroken) PS3. Well, there are a few stipulations.

1.) Your PS3 must have 4 USB ports on the front of it. (or able to play PS2 games naturally.

2.) You must void your warranty.

With that said, Let's begin!

1.) Okay, you will have to remove the top of the PS3 ONLY.


2.) unplug the Blu-ray drive, and open it up.


3.) you will need the small white magnetic circle that came off of there.






4.) Run the ps3 with a Ps2 game in the drive. (while it is open, with the small circle on top of the disc, holding it down.)


5.) After the PS3 reads it as a legit PS2 game, remove the PS2 game from the drive and place your backup in its place.


6.) Press "Play PS2 Game". Have Fun!
