Before you start, change antialiasing to Best and enable Global Illumination in the Render Settings.

Simple Gloss -

1. Open up Cinema 4D & Create any object you want to add the gloss too. Then create a Floor object.a

2. Create a new material and add "Reflection" to it. Lower the brightness of it to about 30. Drag that on to the object you want glossed.

3. Create a new material and check 'Luminance'. This should render the material completely white. Drop this onto the Floor object.

4. Raise the floor object upwards a good bit so that it's above your main object.

5. Right click on the Floor object and follow Cinema 4D > Compositing. Deselect the "Seen by Camera" option.

6. Align the midpoint of your object along the horizon line and Render !

I pizzazed mine up a little bit, but you should get a similar effect. If you need some help, feel free to PM me about it.
