Challenges are how you earn Badass rank. Hit then over to Badass rank to check your challenges progress. You only need to complete level 1 of all challenges related to killing, loot and grinding. Map specific challenges do not count towards this trophy. There's a challenge for grinding Luneshine weapons. If you do this at a low level the moonstone cost will be greatly reduced saving you time grinding moonstones.

There are 2 hidden challenges, one for the Rocket launcher which is called Missile Magnet and you must complete level 5 of Collateral Damage (200 Rocket Launcher kills with Splash Damage) to unlock it. The hidden Shotgun challenge is called Overachiever and you must complete level 5 of Take It All (750 kills at Point-Blank-Range) to unlock it as well. Any hidden challenges will still keep track and most will complete as soon as you unlock them.
