In Minecraft, chestplates are an item you wear on your upper body that gives you extra protection so you don't lose hearts as quickly when you take damage. Chestplates can be crafted using either leather, iron ingots, gold ingots, or diamonds.

To craft a chestplate you will need eight of the object of your choice. On the top row you must leave the center spot empty and put the object of your choice on both the left and right sides.
