16-person Party Chat Coming in next Xbox One update

4.7
Microsoft has a flurry of new Xbox One features on the way in its next console update, headlined by an increase in Party Chat size from 12 up to 16.

This larger number will apply to Parties either on Xbox One or on Windows 10 via the Xbox app. You'll also be able to include your Party chat with your Twitch broadcasts

There's now a dedicated section for them in the console's menu sidebar. The Gamerscore leaderboard will return in the Achievements section, too.

Avatars will appear in your feed if you have chosen to replace your static gamerpic with your avatar. You'll also be able to compare your avatar to your friends'.

A new Featured section of the dashboard will highlight games, deals and event. The standard length of a Game DVR clips can now be changed (from 15 seconds up to 5 minutes). Finally, you'll now only see a player's reputation if they have been rated poorly.

This is going to be crazy especially when you have a bunch of people talking at the same time. But it's still a good feature to have more people to talk to at once.

Hopefully it will be stable. Feels like it's inconstant with people disconnecting all the time.

This would be absolute madness.

16 people in one party lmao that would be crazy hard enough with 3 or 4 people, guess its a nice feature?

This is great if you have a lot of friends, it's just when you get those retards joining and running their mouth.

This will only make partys unbearable, atm everyone joins and runs their mouth to the point you cant get a word out, time will tell how this plays out though

Kixa The party is still a little glitchy for me most of the time when I'm in a party I get kicked out randomly without it even telling me which gets annoying. I'm using wired as well so I doubt it's my connection. I hope they improve the stability of the party more in the next update.

Same thing happens to me, i'll be talking to myself for 15 minutes before I figure out that I am no longer in my party anymore.

When I play Xbox One there's usually only a few other people in the party so this doesn't doesn't really help me, but it's still a nice addition. I can't even imagine having 16 people in a party at once; everyone would be talking over each other.
