Star Wars: Battlefront does not support in-game voice chat on PC

4.5
Star Wars: Battlefront will not contain voice chat on PC, according to DICE.

This will either upset you or won’t. Either way, it’s not supported on the PC version. For console users, Battlefront will utilize the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One built-in party system for in-game chat.

The reason behind the lack of party-chat on PC wasn’t made clear, but according to the official SWB Twitter account, players will instead have to use a third-party software to communicate vocally.

So Skype, TeamSpeak, Ventrilo, or whatever you and your buddies prefer.

The Star Wars: Battlefront beta ended today, October 13 at 11am ET and launches on November 17 in North America and November 19 in Europe.

Tickld With things like teamspeak, ventrillo etc I don't really think they need voice chat in-game.

yea you can always use those or skype , wayyy better than in game voice chat !!!

Good. It really isn't needed in the first place.

Trust me the game is already bad. Us PC players won't be giving you our money EA. You ruined yet another game release and franchise. Everything is a pickup and all it is, medium size maps with amazing looks and sounds, but in terms of gameplay it is severely lacking. You can't just toss on a Star Wars skin and call it a game.

guarantee so many people will be depressed that it will be added eventually.

o wow this sucks , i guess you can use skype or teamspeak

that seems like a lot of extra work to play as a team, weird.

Wow, that sucks. I know there are other ways to solve this issue but there should be a feature like this implemented

Axer i mean skype solves that

Skype is too laggy when you get 4+ people on it IMO. TeamSpeak is a much better program if you just want to talk. Skype is good for Cams and Screen sharing though.

Teamspeak is definitely the way to go. I'd probably use that even if there were in-game chat. It's pretty ideal for communication in most situations, lol.
