Black Ops 3 stats will not transfer between last-gen and current-gen

David Vonderhaar has stated on Twitter that Black Ops 3 stats will not transfer between last-gen platforms (PS3/Xbox 360) and current-gen platforms (PS4/Xbox One).

For players that plan on buying Black Ops 3 for last-gen, your stats will not be available when or if you decide to upgrade to a current-gen platform. For both Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Activision allowed players to have their multiplayer stats available for use within the same console family (i.e: stats transferred from PS3 to PS4, Xbox 360 to Xbox One). It looks like Black Ops 3 will not support that ability.

Activision has also not yet announced any plans regarding the possibility of upgrade programs from last-gen to current-gen.

It's bad for legitimate players who want to transfer, but at the same time it will stop cheaters from maxing accounts and profiting off selling them. I definitely support this.

Not like this is a surprise. All this would allow is people to do recoveries on last gen and bring them (unlock all ect) to current gen. Which would take the fun out of the game

Hall_Monitor Ah well, ill just play on my xbone then full time unless i have a need to play on 360 :( sucks that you cant transfer stats

I think it is smart. In the chance of modders modding BO3 on old gen, players on newer gens won't have to deal with maxed out players or messed up leaderboards.

Also the new gens are 3 years old, it is time to upgrade anyway
