GTA 5: Rockstar Editor comes to Xbox One and PS4 in the next update

Rockstar has casually announced that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of GTA 5 will soon get the Rockstar Editor.

The Rockstar Editor, one of the main selling points of the PC version of GTA 5, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Rockstar promised us as much back in May, but never mentioned it since. Today, in a blog post celebrating the winners of the Ill Gotten Gains Editor Contest, Rockstar confirmed that the next update to hit PS4 and Xbox One will include the Editor.

As a result, the next Editor Contest will for the first time include console players.

The Editor is pretty robust, and PC players have been consistently producing excellent content. From silly intro recreations to more nuanced standalone shorts, the community is covering it all.

Hellyeah! Well excited for you console guys! The editor is the most fun i've had in this game so far! Well...basically a new game in itself.

IcalciumI finally something to actually make gta V enjoyable since it came out for next gen as imo heists was a complete let down

There just wasn't enough you could finish the heists in a few hours and it had no replay value unless you were desperate for money.

I'm still on the second heist lol

I thought the heist put more life back in GTA , I stopped playing it until the heist came out, then played it and started playing it again, but it was extremely boring without the heist update in my opinion.

Bio There is son lot of hype behind this. It makes me happy to see developers working on games they released to make them better rather than working on the "next big thing" to make more money.

I think that is why so many people continue to play, they try and better the current version and make all customers happy

I like how they are making video recording and editing something everyone can do! Not something only people with pvrs can do, I wish more games had this like 5 years ago..
