Black Ops 3 will not support cross-platform play between PC Windows 10

4.6
PCDev has confirmed on Twitter that they do not have plans to support cross-platform play between Windows 10 on PC and the Xbox One platform for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Windows 10 is set to launch on July 29th and one of the features it includes is the ability to have cross platform play with Xbox One if developers support; one of the first titles to announce support is Fable Legends, but it seems that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will not be supporting this new feature.

Treyarch has already confirmed beforehand that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be compatible with Windows 10 OS, but it seems all of it’s functionality will be limited to Steam, rather than the Xbox app on Windows 10. Another big feature of Windows 10 is cross buy between PC and Xbox One titles, but as of now, there’s no indication from Activision or Treyarch if that will be supported for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Tricks I'm actually glad. I feel like people on console would have the advantage over PC when it comes to first shot, killing, etc. Plus, PC gets mods all the time, which I would hate to see on BO3.

yep cause controller is better than mouse and keyboard for fps shooters /sarcasm.

Yeah because CoD was not modded to shit and ruined on console. *end of sarcasm*

Derivation
Homeland This would be stupid because the PC players will be using keyboard/mouse and would destroy the console players using controllers.

Hm, I have to disagree with you at that point.
Controllers are easier and faster to use in my opinion, and PC could also use customized controllers for PC?

People only use controllers on pc for fighting+racing games, but for first person shooters mouse+keyboard is the way to go.

Well this is a minor inconvenience.

You're crazy if you think analog sticks would have any sort of advantage over keyboard and mouse in an FPS game. I also don't get this mentality about mods that console players have. As if pretty much every CoD since CoD4 hasn't been hacked to shit and ruined on console.

Console players are at a massive disadvantage. Ability to have higher framerates, K+M is far, far superior to any controller i've used.

Whoa. Their is so much wrong in this statement. PC doesn't get mods ALL THE TIME. Mods in online games are only allowed in servers that allow them. Many competitive games don't even allow mods. Mods have not been allowed in Call of Duty since Black Ops 1. It has been just like console ever since then. Sure aiming would be a advantage that PC gets, however, consoles get aim assist which covers a good part of the skill gap. I have played CoD many times on PC and do just as good with the controller as I do mouse and keyboard, using a controller gets you aim assist.

Cross platform gaming is something that needs to happen soon. Everyone is being held back from the fences that each console puts up.

The only advantage that PC has over console is better settings. Console would get most of these settings. They would make it a fair playing field.

I really doubt console would have any adavantage, TBH they would be at a disadvantage

Oh well... this would have been really cool. I'm not really looking forward to this game anyways.
