Xbox One backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 Games

Xbox Phil Spencer said the firm will be showing “the greatest line-up of games” for Xbox One. He then dropped the biggest news ever: backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games on Xbox One.

Digital titles will show up in the dashboard today, and retail disc will work as well. One of the first titles shown was Mass Effect, and third-party developers will just have to allow the option, as no work is involved in the capability.

this is pretty cool, but isn't there only a limited ammount of games that it will actually play?

Should have been available from the start. Not even hard for them to add since they didn't even have to do a hardware update or anything so all XB1 units were able to work with 360 games with an update from MS to let them do so. I'm also pretty certain that MS said specifically that they wouldn't be doing backwards compatibility on the XB1. Smh MS.

I'm also loling at all the MS fanboys going nuts over backwards compatibility, settle down love, PC have always had it.

Thank goodness i didnt sell my old xbox 360 games. Im going to start getting new versions of Mw2, WaW, and black ops 1. Heck yeah
