First images of new Xbox One controller with 3.5mm headphone jack

An Austrian retailer has leaked the first images of Microsoft’s new Xbox One controller which first came to light yesterday.


The images posted by Libro show the Covert Forces version of the revamped controller with a 3.5mm headphone jack which was outlined on the Xbox Support Website.

A release date for the new Xbox One controller is slated for June 8, which means Microsoft will be making an announcement before E3 kicks off on June 15.

How is that stealing sony's idea? Microsoft tried something new when they released the new headphone port for the xbox one controller, but they forgot to realise that people preferred the 3.5mm headphone port making it cheaper for people to get hands on headphones instead of paying for the adapter as well, so you can't say their stealing sonys idea... How about you head back to the playstation forum as it seems that's where you belong.

Do you two not know what a 3.55mm jack is? It will negate the need for the headset adapter that many people have bought so they could use their own personnel headsets. MS really decided to milk the cash cow before releasing this but it will be helpful to those who dont have an Xbox yet.


I do know what it is and im not purchasing it. Other then the 3.5 jack it's no different. I have the adapter.

Not really having any problems with the adapter now, but this amazing option should of be out when xbox one was first released.

this will be a great addition, its a shame to see how many people don't use microphones in game, but this also brings use back to my astro a40's
