GTA 5 PC patch disables mods. Here’s how to get them working again

A new patch for the PC version of GTA 5 was released yesterday and, as it turns out, has wiped the ability to use mods with the game.

The wasn’t great news for some players, but YouTuber taltigolt has already figured out how to play the PC version with mods after installing the patch.

Matt detailed the patch notes yesterday which include fixing freezing and crashing bugs, and issues when launching the game in offline mode.

There are all sorts of mods available, from customising cars, to a zombie apocalypse, so fans will no doubt be happy about the workaround.

Lmao shut up modding is clearly allowed as shown in many many PC games. Rockstar just drew the line at what cant be used. The aren't stating what mods anyone people can use so they disable them out of ignorance.



Also people use mods for single player to make it more fun. I'm just curios as to why you don't know this. Clearly a moron or new to the PC gaming scene.

Sigh...

Never in their ToS did they state that FOV mods were banable. That's why many people were banned without even knowing why.

I don't mind people that use them in single player but I hate it when people use mods on multiplayer but it's funny it took people a day to bypass the patch.

The community added them, not Rockstar.
They aren't officially supported as of now, but I'm sure they will be in the near future.

To be honest, you seem like a real unpleasant person.
What he was doing wasn't cheating in the slightest. Plus, single player doesn't affect anyone else. Please, be gone.

Are you new to PC gaming? Mods have been around for a long ass time and they make the game fun. It's like playing MC without mods it just feels weird.
