Rumor: Call of Duty exclusivity deal moving over to PlayStation?

4.3
We can’t imagine a world where Call of Duty and Microsoft part ways, but just because we can’t imagine it doesn’t mean it could never happen. There’s a lot of rumors circulating that Microsoft may have lost the exclusivity and/or marketing deal for Call of Duty this year to PlayStation. Rumors started with industry insiders and quickly began to look like a possibility once the Black Ops 3 teasers hit.

DLC is just the first half of the equation. What would this mean for future Black Ops 3 events? or Call of Duty Championship 2016?

Exhibit A) Official Sony Twitter account tweeted both teasers and uploaded to their YouTube channels at the exact time they went live. Microsoft waited at least an hour in both cases.

Exhibit B) Sony hasnt uploaded a Call of Duty video since Call of Duty Ghosts.

Exhibit C) No Xbox One branding at begining of teasers.

Exhibit D) Neogaf “Industry Insider” Kyoufu is indcating that the Call of Duty exclusivity deal has moved over to Sony.

At the very least, it looks like Sony is showing more CoD love this year. We should know for sure this Sunday when the first full trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 releases. Every reveal trailer has been attached with a press release that announces its renewed partnership with Microsoft so time will tell soon….

yo2434 there's quiet a large difference from getting ddos'd (which is practically unstopable at that scale) to having your security breached with 77million accounts of unencrypted data stolen... not to mention last years hack of sony, almost 50000 people had their social security #'s stolen and released to the world and those again were unencrypted, there's NO excuse for that.
so to you i ask, would you rather have ddosing or ddosing and having nearly all of your info as open as a book sitting on a library table?

Sony can't even keep a complex security from 15 year old hackers. I wouldn't trust that company at all. They false advertised the ps vita and they also abandoned the ps vita. I'd rather be exclusive with a company that has a better rep overall. and that's Microsoft.

Lol, these days XBL is down almost as much as PSN. Unacceptable, Microsoft have no excuse for this whatsoever.

I'd rather the superior console. Never really been into 900p.

Your eyes won't tell the diffrence between 1080 and 900p...... If you can, you need to get some sun.

annndddd this is where my built pc master-race in me would say, max settings with higher than 1080p resolution with 60+ fps > consoles.... but in the real world games are meant for fun not trying to have the most photorealistic games possible which is why my ps4 and pc don't get as much use as my xbone. btw, a good chunk of ps4 games are 900p too, so you better not play those either.

Haha typical console drone talk " u cnt tell diff between 900p and 1080p and the human eye can only see up to 30fps" Hahaha, such peasantry.

RivalRogue02 HAHAHAHA people actually think that call of duty is moving to playstation only? HAHHAHAHA thats not gonna happen lol.

Not what this means.

Basically, instead of Xbox Live getting DLC 2 weeks earlier, PlayStation will get it 2 weeks earlier than Xbox Live.
