Xbox One Announcement At E3 To Make Gears of War Fans Happy

Last week a rumor appeared that Gears of War: The Marcus Fenix Collection got confirmed by Xbox headman Phil Spencer. The head of the Xbox division was rumored to have confirmed the collection in an Xbox message to a certain fan. As expected social media exploded as the ‘collection’ is highly anticipated among Xbox One owners.

The rumor got debunked shortly after when head of developer Black Tusk Rod Fergusson tweeted out that there is no Marcus Fenix Collection and that the team is working on other Gears Projects.

A lot of fans were disappointed after this but the way Fergusson debunked the ‘Collection’ made me curious. Why did he state “there is no Marcus Fenix Collection” and why did he say “Projects”. The way Fergusson uses the plural form would imply that Black Tusk is in fact working on something besides the already announced Gear of War sequel for the Xbox One.

It seems there is still hope for Gears of War fans as Microsoft’s head or marketing Aaron Greenberg send out some tweets today to a disappointed fan:

Although Greenberg says that there isn’t a Marcus Fenix Collection he does confirm that Microsoft has other plans on Microsoft’s console.

Well, Cliffy B did leave in the middle of development because he decided he didn't want to make console games anymore all of the sudden. He could have at least finished his last Gears game with a bang, but nope.

I was horrible at GOW but Gears 3 was is still one of the best 360 games i've played.

Gears of war 1 Really had me addicted in 2006. Gears 2 was amazing, Gears 3 I didn't feel so much. Still all amazing games and i hope they bring them onto xbox one somehow so the younger new generation can enjoy them as we once did.

I am so hyped for this! The enjoyment of the time I put into Gears of War 2 and 3 was insanely a lot. This is a great series that I dont wanna see die out. I really want this out now.

Time Only disappointment was the campaign. It was good, but it was not great. Needed to be grittier like the first game. And by grittier I mean presentation and environments, not story telling.

I dont know if I have mis read this but the game hasnt even came out or been announced really so..
