Latest GTA V Update Adds More Than Heists; Graphics Options and More

4.6
The latest update for GTA V has brought the long-awaited heists to GTA Online, allowing players to buddy up with their mates and pull off a series of missions leading to the big score.
That’s not all though, and whilst Rockstar has yet to release the official patch notes, some things stand out immediately, some for the better, some for the worse.
The new update adds the option to increase or decrease motion blur strength within the game, something that many feel should have been in the game from day one. After having a bit of a play around with it myself, it’s not for me, but for those who like their motion blur, go ahead and tinker to your hearts content.

Then there’s the new camera option within the settings. It’s not really new, but having it clunked together with the controls made for a pain in the neck when it came to tweaking the various camera settings, something that is essential if you want to get the most out of GTA V‘s first person mode.

Also, if you previously had the perfect set up with all of your options in the sweet spot in terms of camera settings and controls, bad luck, they’re back to default. It’s not the worst thing in the world but it certainly isn’t ideal and it means you’ll spend a few extra minutes fiddling with the settings when you’d much rather be on the streets of Los Santos pointing at strangers.

All of the above is true for the PS4 version of GTA V, so expect it to be pretty much identical on the Xbox One.
It’s unusual to have such options within a console game to be honest, though it is becoming more common with the more powerful console hardware on offer. Typically such settings would be restricted to the PC platform, so it’s a nice indication of what’s to come when GTA V finally releases on the PC. Fingers crossed there’s no more delays…
