Report: UK police arrest Lizard Squad member

UK police have reportedly arrested a Lizard Squad member Vinnie Omari on Monday. Lizard Squad is notoriously known for the DDoS attacks on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. Omari was not arrested for the attacks on Xbox Live and PSN, but for stealing from PayPal accounts.

Lizard Squad has not said much on the recent arrest of the member, but has made fun of a security guru, Brian Krebs, who tweeted out a copy of the bail notice.

This arrest comes after Finnish police caught another Lizard Squad member nicknamed "Ryan Clearly."

I saw this too, pretty funny if you ask me.


It annoys me, he's using his skills to track down the bad guys if you want to call them that and he writes about how to secure yourself from them (I think) so he's using his skills for the good of the community unlike members of Lizard Squad who use it to take down servers and hack peoples accounts.

In the UK you get released on bail without needing to pay anything.

The members of Lizard Squad all deserve to be arrested. It is annoying enough to ruin Christmas time for many people but they illegally hacked into multiple companies' servers. Have fun in prison Vinnie.
