Destiny progress will carry over to sequel, Bungie says

4.6
Player progress in Destiny will transfer to the sequel, Bungie Community Manager David Dague confirmed to IGN. Bungie has 10 years to fulfill its promises for the Destiny franchise, and it's laying out some of the groundwork now.

"It's been no secret that we have a 10-year plan for the expansion and evolution of this franchise, and it's something that we're always dreaming about," Dague said. He continued, "The idea is that the Guardian you have created is something you can bring along with you on that adventure. If you take a look at the way people have played other games for a long period of time, they've had a relationship with the same character for a very long time."

Dague didn't go into detail about development of a Destiny sequel. Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below, launches on December 9.

They should worry about fixing the game more than DLC. Bugs are the main reason I quit playing this.

Nuka ALREADY thinking about a sequel? The first Destiny was definitively way too hyped, don't even wanna know about this one..

I can sit here and just hope that the sequel will be a big step up from the original. But dear god, they should be focusing on improving the current release instead of developing a sequel. It hasn't even been a year since release

Hopefully the sequel will have more game play and raids then just 1 raid that you have to grind through multiple times to get to level 30.

Would be pretty disappointing if it didn't transfer over. What I'm more surprised about is the fact that they already have a sequel in mind...
