Rockstar 'urgently investigating' GTA Online account transfer issues

Rockstar is "urgently" investigating issues Grand Theft Auto Online players are having transferring account data from the last-gen versions of the game to the recently released Xbox One and PS4 editions.

The company said on the support section of its website that the problem is affecting some players who haven't played GTA Online since 2013.

"We are urgently looking into an issue preventing character transfer and GTA Online login on accounts that haven't played GTA Online since 2013.

"If you would like to receive an automatic email notification as soon as there is more information, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thanks for your patience."

The new-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto V launched on Tuesday.

Xbox 360 and PS3 players should be able to transfer their GTA Online characters and progression to their choice of the Xbox One or PS4 versions of the game, or to the PC one when it releases in January.

The new-gen versions of GTA Online also support an increased player count of 30.

Rockstar said last week that the long-delayed GTA Online Heist missions will be introduced in the first update pushed out following the game's Xbox One and PS4 release.

My character wouldn't transfer at first to my xbox one but I went back onto my 360, downloaded the available updates and just played online for a minute and then my character transferred to the xbox one easily

Every game being released lately seems to be "Half-@ssed" I logged on to GTA online yesterday, and I had the modded money that was taken away from me xD

My transfer went without a hitch this is basically an issue for those who have not played since 2013 which I imagine is because there is no recent records and since all the new content files etc players that have not been playing GTA V in over a year got overlooked. Not a huge issue and one that is very common.

xsuperxsmashx Im starting to think these game devs just dont care anymore. Cod is still broken, halo mcc is practically f'ed beyond repair atm and now this is just the start of the problems for gta.

I understand what your trying to say, but if you think about it nothing is perfect and the devs test the games obviously before release but theres issues which they obviously don't see. You just have to give them time, all the games you mentioned are brilliant games but just improving and this will be done overtime.

I highly doubt 343 tested halo mcc before release, the game is practically a beta. Its like they were so busy trying to impress with their graphics that they forgot to add anything else hahahah
