Dubai's wealthy gamers can now purchase a gold PS4, Xbox One

4.8
Prominent Dubai retailer Jumbo Electronics has announced plans to unveil custom PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles made of rose gold, claims regional news outlet Emirates 24/7.

According to the report, the console is being crafted by Italian jeweller Gatti and will initially be available for purchase at the ongoing Games14 conference in Dubai. If you're interested in scoring one of these gaudy gaming machines, you'd better bring your wallet: While the tech specs of these special consoles match their plastic counterparts, each machine features a price tag of 50,000 UAE Dirhams - about $13,612 here in the United States.

"We are particularly excited to be launching the most unique and valuable gaming consoles in the world at Games14, specially created by Gatti," Jumbo Electronics head Nadeem Khanzadah told Emirates 24/7. "Available to both Xbox and PS4 fans, the high-end materials and exquisite detailing of the gold consoles make it a great collectible item for gamers who love luxury."

Dubai is the richest country in the world. Google "Dubai Architecture" some of the buildings there are just amazing. It's also the home of the world's ONLY 7 Star Hotel, Which happens to be under-water :)
That is crazy, I did search the Dubai Architecture and I can't even understand these designs, But I agree with Ethics, That isn't a purchase I'd invest in.

It does look really nice.
But I don't see the point in buying this.

but then again - if you're minted and live in Dubai, why not.
People buy gold-plated cars with embedded diamonds from Dubai so why not.
