Venus is the setting for this new Destiny gameplay trailer from Bungie.

This serves as one of your first proper looks at the planet, which has had very little previous exposure in trailers and screenshots. According to Bungie: "Venus was once the site of a great discovery - a paradise. Now, it is a monument to all that we have lost."

A video released last week offered a look at Mars. Though Destiny's opening cinematic begins on the surface of Mars, guardians must fight their way across Earth and the Moon before they can set their boots on the red planet and drive back its new inhabitants, the Cabal.

As recently announced, Destiny's first expansion, the Dark Below, will be released in December. It will take players deep beneath the surface of the moon, where a dark god "has risen an evil army in the depths of the Hellmouth, the home of the Hive enemy race."

The Destiny release date is September 9 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
