Now TV app launches on PS4

Sky's Now TV app has launched on PS4, according to PlayStation Europe's English community manager Chris Owen.

Sony confirmed in May that it had partnered with Sky to introduce PS4 support for Now TV this summer and Sky Go later this year.

Now TV offers on-demand access to some of Sky's most popular content including films and sports, while Sky Go lets users watch Sky TV on a range of devices in line with their existing subscriptions.

Sony announced on Wednesday that next week's PS4 system update 1.75 will introduce 3D Blu-ray support.

Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said in June that a number of highly anticipated PS4 features announced when the console was revealed in February 2013 are still in development, although he couldn't give a timeframe for their release.

They include a resume and suspend feature, and the ability to let players to take control of a friend's game remotely in order to help out during tricky sections.

A Sky representative told CVG in May that the delayed Xbox One Now TV app will also launch on Microsoft's console this summer.

What's the point of buying a game and beating it, if they are going to add a feature where your friend can do it for you? As good as it sounds, I don't find that going to be used a lot, or just not as nice as expected.

When I find a hard part, and can't beat it, I find it satisfying when FINALLY after trial and error hundreds of times that I beat it. But if I just get my friend to beat it if I know he can, that is't satisfying.

I don't have a PS4, so I can't say it won't or will be a good feature, but I honestly don't need that feature on any console I have.

Also, for going off topic (well not really since what I talked about is in the article) nice job for Sky TV users having an app on the PS4, I live in US so I have no need for it.
