Steam Passes 8 Million Concurrent Users

If you were to check out Steam’s statistics page, you’d find a real surprise waiting: Steam has finally surpassed 8 million concurrent users as of today

The record breaking amount of users does make sense, as today happens to also be the final day of the Steam Summer sale. For comparison’s sake, here’s the chart for Steam’s active user base shown at Dev Days in January of this year:

Hopefully the people who play console will realize PC is far more superior.
but then that's kind of bad because then you have the console kids on PC.

i know, i play consoles but i know how you feel about how a bunch of people whine about everything on the consoles

agree its not like ps3 or xbox you are free to mod things without hacked consoles and you won't get banned

Steam is awesome. It's a PC so can do more than just game. You can do everything on PC and the graphics are better. That's why PC is beginning to get used more consoles.

Oh wow, that is quite an impressive statistic. Steam is an excellent platform that makes the PC Gaming experience much more convenient and i hope that it continues to grow well into the future
