343 Says Halo: Master Chief Collection “Definitely” Not Coming To Xbox 360

4.6
One of the big announcements to be revealed during Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference was Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a new package containing HD versions of the four mainline Halo games all coming to Xbox One in an epic, Master Chief-sized package.

Speaking in an interview, 343 Industries Head Bonnie Ross mentioned specifically on The Master Chief Collection‘s likelihood of appearing on other platforms/consoles that fans should only expect to see the new collection appear on Xbox One for the time being, such as Xbox 360 and PC. For Xbox 360, it became a matter of technical limitations, as Ross mentioned that “We do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features and technical specifications simply can’t support it.”

Likewise, Ross also noted that Halo and Halo 2 previously appeared on PC shortly after their initial release on Xbox, but didn’t say whether we can expect to see The Master Chief Collection on PC down the line, or other future Halo titles – for now, fans can expect to see Master Chief only being on Xbox One for the time being, it seems.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases for Xbox One on November 11th, 2014.

Halo 3 was awesome. way better then halo 4 and reach. odst, was okay, except of that you were walking a cross the city all the time. the forge in halo 3 was like normal size block between human and block.

It only makes sense that it is on the One only. A 360 can't handle all of that in one. It is also a nice way to sell some consoles. It may not do what Mario Kart 8 did for the Wii U, but I think this may help quite a bit for Xbox One sales.

Rin Doesn't really matter to me. Halo 3 and 4 sucked so much IMO.

WHAT! Halo 3 was amazing! but I do have to agree halo 4 sucked
Same reactions my friends had and the reason why I hate Halo 3 is because I never played during its prime. The only time I did was once at my uncles.

Wouldn't make much sense to put on the X360 is it's a 'Remastered' game. You wouldn't get much out of the console anyway for the new graphics part.

i have to admit though, all Master Chief games and the DLC on 1 disk is just awesome.

Miss That sucks, would have been cool to try it out on the 360. I guess it's for the good.

You can already try it out on the Xbox 360! You just have to buy the games seperate. Smh
You're not getting the point along with many others, you cannot play Halo 1 and 2 multipalyer.

This is a good move from Microsoft, if they want the Master Chief Collection, they'll have to buy the Xbox One. But it also kinda sucks for the Xbox 360 users. But then again, if they want to play the Halo games, they can just pop the disc in and play.

Good people on the old gen shouldn't get good games like these.
