Killer Instinct update adds Fulgore, weighs in at 6.8GB

Microsoft Studios has began rolling out the latest Killer Instinct update on Xbox One, introducing cyborg knight Fulgore to the game's roster of playable characters.

The Killer Instinct patch also adds an Arcade mode, eight player online lobbies and spectator functionality. It weighs in at 6.8GB, NeoGAF users report.

Divekick studio Iron Galaxy recently took over Killer Instinct development duties after the game's maker Double Helix was purchased by Amazon following the completion of the Fulgore DLC.

In addition to Divekick and the upcoming Divekick Addition Edition, Iron Galaxy has worked on downloadable versions of classic fighting games including Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online, Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, and Darkstalkers Resurrection.

Iron Galaxy CEO Dave Lang said: "To get to now take it over and start with this great base, and expand it and put new stuff on top of it, everyone in the company is super pumped up, and we can't wait to show people what we're going to be doing down the road."

Free-to-play Killer Instinct released with a single playable character, with further fighters added post-launch for purchase at $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99 each. Alternatively, Xbox One owners can purchase the entire character roster for $19.99 / £16.99 / €19.99.

I think MS is trying to fill up our 500GB HDD so later on we pay them to install a bigger HDD

No, but they are a business with a business plan, and they seem to charge you for everything else under the moon.

Clearly no one reads anymore. It says it right there, game modes, lobbies, spectator mode all added. Nearly 7gb is absolutely understandable, if you don't like it, don't download it.

You obviously dont have a xbox one because almost everything is like 5GB or more.
