PS4 and it's accessories to experience price hike in Canada

4.3
Sony Computer Entertainment Canada has confirmed a price increase for the PlayStation 4, DualShock 4, PS Camera, and titles including inFamous: Second Son and MLB 14 The Show. While speaking with Sony Canada the Toronto Sun they went on to comment that the PS4 console itself would go up $50 starting on March 15th, the DualShock 4s and PS Camera will increase by $5, and many PS4 games will increase to $69.99 or a extra $10. This move is most likely related to the obvious lack of available PS4 units for sale within Canada, Microsoft reached out to comment that they did not plan to increase the Xbox One's base price.

Pretty bold move on Sony's part.

SkylarDesigns I used to be an Xbox gamer for 6 years. I recently switched to PlayStation 4. I overall think it's better than the Xbox One. The ONLY thing I think Xbox One did better than the PS4 is the GUI for the PlayStation Home.
I have been playing on an Xbox and Playstation sense I was 9. And Nintendo before that. Personally, I have always favored the Xbox for a lot of reasons that I don't feel like starting a flame war over. But unless you own and Xbox One and PS4, which you might I don't know. You can't really speak for it. I do agree in some ways, PS4 has it's perk, but there are definitely more perks to an Xbox One than just it's GUI.

darkiedarkk they are doing this BECAUSE THE ECONOMY IS GETTING BETTER!! or what not..

It is actually because the Canadian dollar has gone down in value, which means the economy is getting worse. Please don't make comments on things you know nothing about.

I'm pretty sure everything would go up in price if the CAD was going down

The CAD value did go down, compared to the USD value. That explains the "price hike" in Canada...... You didn't read the article at all, nor do you understand basic economics.

That's barely economics and more so common sense. If you have money, and the value of that money goes down, then the price of items goes up to compensate.

Miss I don't see why they'd raise the price when their is a lack of consoles.

If there's a lack of consoles, they're selling pretty good. If the price goes up, people will be likely to still buy, since they're popular now. It's an opportunity / decision to make more money.

Personally, I always knew PS was a more higher demanded console. The PS3 got out to a late and not so well start. But the PS4 came out with a bang and i'm glad I made the decison to stay with Sony. Playstation Nation!

I was thinking about getting a PS4 since i don't have any next gen consoles. So i might actually go with the PS4 this time.
