Microsoft to sell black & purple Xbox 360 chrome controllers in March

4.5
Microsoft has announced two new chrome controllers for Xbox 360, coming in black and purple flavours.

Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb revealed the pads over on his blog last night.

Hryb confirmed that the controllers feature a “transforming d-pad” and will launch in March at $54.99. They’ll be available exclusively at US Best Buy stores and the Microsoft store. There’s currently no word on a wider European release.

Folk why wouldn't they bring out xbox one controllers. No need for 360 controllers anymore.

There are still more 360 users, that's why. Such an ignorant comment.

That comment is not ignorant at all. There are many 3rd party companies that released controllers like that for the 360 over the years. Microsoft needs to now focus on releasing new stuff for the xbox one. There isn't as much 3rd party support because its new.

Seeing as you do not understand marketing, nor finance, you have no credibility here. It is always better business to produce for those who are making more money for your company, than to only go for the new products. Once more consumers purchase Xbox ONEs, Microsoft will produce more hardware for it. Until then, it makes no sense. Your comment and his comment are ignorant.

I understand alot more than you. The money is where the new system is at. If people could fork out 500 for a system. Then they most likely have the spending money to get extra things.

you clearly do not he is correct you supply for the group that is most popular and gets you the most money first and so on. not because its "new"

daRealRush The 2 controllers look awesome. But why not release them for the Xbox One instead of the Xbox 360?!

It's probably because they don't want to count out the Xbox 360 users.

Anyone know how much these will cost?

The purple one looks so sick but this is pointless IMO, especially with the next-gen consoles having been released already.

I recently just bought a blue one and it looks incredible. I think the black chrome wont look any different from the regular controller but I may be wrong.

What's holding them back from releasing this in Europe as well? Anyways, it could still be shipped I guess. The purple one sounds cool.
