Playstation division of Sony reports sales up to $4.2 billion

It has been a good few months for Sony's Playstation division, they are reporting a massive increase to operating profit that is likely linked to the recent PS4 launch.

In the third quarter that division reported a 64 percent increase in sales adding up to a sweet $4.2 billion. Compared to last year their operating income ballooned nearly 300 percent to $172 million.

Sony did not break down individual unit sales but did indicate that between their line of consoles and handhelds they sold almost 10 million unit in their third quarter along with 126 million game software sales to boot.

If you read the article title you would see it says playstation division.

Sony deserves it. They put so much detail into their systems and try to keep them bug/glitch free.

That's crazy to me how they managed to sell that much. I looked into buying a Ps4 but decided to wait a bit. Good job Sony
