PS4 outselling Xbox One 1.5:1 in UK

3.9
Sony claims that its PlayStation 4 is outselling Microsoft’s Xbox One by a ratio of 1.5:1 in the UK indicating that for every 2 Xbox One units, Sony is selling 3 PlayStation 4 units in the UK.

Speaking at an event in the UK PlayStation UK boss Fergal Gara further added that PlayStation 3 sales figures are exactly the opposite. Xbox 360 was outselling the PlayStation 3 by 1.51:1 according to latest sales figures.

The latest PS4 to Xbox One sales ratio of 1.5:1 is impressive as Xbox 360 has a greater fan following in the UK as compared to Europe where PlayStation consoles fare better.

According to analysis reports and inventory data, Xbox Ones are easier to get in the UK as compared to PlayStation 4 and that probably explains the stats revealed by Gara.

As of December 2013, Sony managed to sell 4.2 million units of PlayStation 4, while Microsoft sold 3 million Xbox One with 3.9 million ‘shipped’. This puts the sales ratio of PS4 to Xbox One at 2:1.5.

Retire good for Sony, I don't care who has sold more i have both consoles and they are both great.
Yes. Microsoft has to start lowering their price if they want the console to sell. Nobody want kinect.

yes i agree with i didn't want the kinect.

They deserve it, selling a console at 100 dollars cheaper. I would have been surprised if it was the other way around.

-CP The cheaper item typically outsells the more expensive one, so this comes as no surprise at all.

If the more expensive item was worth it, then your logic is false.
Not necessarily, if you only can afford the $400 console then you simply don't get the $500 console...

If you like the xbox one, and want it, but can't afford it and get the ps4 anyways, what does that say about that xbox one? It's not worth saving up for a week or two and getting it?

The fact of the matter is the better deal sells. While it being cheaper plays a part, its not the full story. The ps3 is still more expensive than the xbox 360 and it has sold more lifetime.
Cheaper =/= sales

lilrichard22 Both consoles are selling well. Why are people still talking about this? It's like saying Mitt Romney still has a chance to win the 2012 election.

Because they are fanboys that spend their time arguing over why they think their console is better instead of just enjoying the games.

Potion Its understandable since PS4 is cheaper.

This, and all the other things that are better lol.

Please elaborate. What exactly are the "Other things" That maake the PS4 better because I can guarantee I an match all of them with a positive of the xbox one.

Since 1.5:1 is same as 3:2, why didn't they just use 3:2 and considering that no one supposedly wants an XBOX, I think that's not a bad sales ratio. Also I don't think the overall sales should be compare yet, not when the market/region gab is as big as it is.
