Xbox One: competitive digital pricing is “on the agenda”, says Nelson

4.6
Xbox Live’s digital pricing has been discussed by Microsoft’s community man Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb, and he has told one gamer that a closer look at competitive prices is on the agenda moving forward.

It follows the high cost of Xbox One and PS4 digital games on demand like FIFA 14 and 360 titles like Angry Birds Trilogy.

Now, in a Reddit thread, Hryb responded to a complaint about this Titanfall pre-order incentive, and wrote, “We are way aware of this and many of the concerns of the community – we have some great stuff planned for Xbox One this year (and beyond.) As soon as we can share some of the goodness…we will :) ”

Elsewhere he was asked if Microsoft was going to look in to competitive pricing on Xbox Live, and replied, “It is indeed on the agenda.”

Would you like to see the cost of digital titles on Xbox Live – and indeed, PSN – reduced? Let us know below.

Living in AUS where a new game cost you a average of $99, the cheaper the better.

Aggie They would make money if they would just reduce the prices.

But not as much money so quickly, which is the issue.

They already make plenty of money at their current prices..

Reduce the prices so many people who can't afford it now may be able to afford it.

It needs to be on the agenda after the joke that was the 360 market place.

GibbityTree This whole digital thing is pretty retarded.

Yea! I want a disk that can get scratched up or broken so I have to buy another one!
I still wished they sold all computer programs at a store, downloading them is so retarded!

on topic: it would be nice I buy all my games digitally.

I prefer the disc versions of the games to be honest.
For example, Forza five is something like 50, 55 on the XB1 MP.
Whereas in my local ASDA, it is 40.
So I don't have to wait for it to download.
And I can lend it to a friend etc.
Don't get me wrong I love the idea of downloading games digitally.
But not if it causes me inconvenience.
