Sony teases new ‘slim’ announcement

Sony is inviting select press to a breakfast briefing next week for the release of… something slim. Could it be the PS Vita 2000?

“Following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest,” reads the invite.”

The event takes place January 30th at 9am in London. Last year Sony released the PS Vita 2000 in Japan – it’s 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than the existing model, and features an LCD screen rather than OLED. It also comes with 1GB of built-in memory.

Same i might pick on up but i will wait for like a year so the price will be reduced :D.

Dreams not another slim -_- its litterally the same thing u are just payin for a smaller version for more money

LCD screen upgrade and a new, not scratched and banged up handheld.

I don't really like the idea of it either, but hey, people are willing to pay for it, so they may as well make it.

I remember when I got the first PSP for Christmas. It seems like the same console on the outside as it was 6 years ago. Infinitely more powerful though.

Could just be their PS4 slim. They took peoples money then they're making a new model to get more. Same strategy for all companies.
