Does anyone know why they do this a lot? I used to own a PS3 and they'd do this almost once every week or two. Got pretty annoying.

Urf People are stupid. They think when it says "Maintenance" they think all of it will be down. No, only the store will be down. The rest is fine.
You'll only be online if You're signed in before they begin.
