GTA Online Christmas brings snow to Los Santos, seasonal masks

Grand Theft Auto Online publisher Rockstar is getting into the Christmas spirit with a slew of festive goodies for you to enjoy while you murder each other.

Aside from snow coming to Los Santos, Rockstar has listed a ton of festive treats for you to tuck into over the holidays on its blog.

You’ll be able to buy a range of winter-themed masks, jackets and other clothing items from stores around San Andreas, and these can be worn until January 5.

The Snapmatic camera has been bolstered with facial expressions, zoom lenses and new filters, while a range of vehicles, guns and apartments are discounted until January 5.

Working this into such a big game is time consuming and not that easy.

UMF Did they give money out for christmas? Or was that just a rumour...


There was a discount for a lot of the items in GTA but they didn't give out any money.

Not here are just sales for vehicles, weapons, and apartments.

Vampiric It's cool but it could be better.

-Driving leaves no tire tracks
-All pedestrians are still wearing shorts and T-shirts and standing around talking
-No cars have snow on them or any sign of snow
-Your car doesn't get any snow on it no matter how long you drive it for

Still pretty cool, just those little details that would've made it a lot better.


I don't think you realize the kind of specs Rockstar is working with here and this is only one time that they're even doing this. Why put so much detail into something that's going to be played for only a day? (few days? a week? I don't know.)
I think if they were going to do it they should have done it right...


Maybe it was a last second thing and they didn't have the time or resources to add the physics behind the snow. I mean, it's not easy adding a new weather element to the game within a week or so. Plus you have until Jan 5th, so i do not think it's a big deal


It's not a new weather element though, snow is in the very first level of the game, and even that looks better than it does online.

It's now a new element. The first mission in the game has snow.

Axe Is it just me, or does my car seem to slide around more and harder to control because of the snow.

I think next year they should put a sleigh in and whos ever santa gets a bounty on their head players who have a rocket launcher or a jet get to shoot santa down and get rep points and a big reward

The snow was cool for like 3 min. It is VERY annoying now.
