Xbox Live hit by sign-in issues - Microsoft investigating

4.7
Heads-up: Xbox Live is on the blink today. The official status page notes that "Xbox Live Core Services" may be "limited" - in particular, you might have trouble signing into a child account. The Xbox 360 is the only console affected.

"Are you having issues signing into a child account? Our team is actively engaged and investigating this issue," reads an update from about 5pm yesterday. "In the meantime, try visiting http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/contact-us?isChatCallAvailable=false, which will provide you with the contact information to help you with a temporary work around for the issue. Thanks for all your patience. We will update you as soon we have more information."

Permit me to save you the labour of clicking through to that Support page by reposting the contact details below. I know, I'm a regular diamond in the rough.

GEAH A "child" account is referring to accounts under the age of 18, so yes plenty of child accounts are out there.
No. A child account is an Xbox account with parental restrictions enabled...

If you are under 18 it is a child account you have to have a parental email to signup

For people who comment without reading the article in the hopes of getting the MVC badge, the article actually says: Child accounts are having problems with sign in. Furthermore this doesn't happen often at all. Stop spamming and read the article that someone took the time to write.

I haven't had a sign in issue thankfully.

People just read the title and don't even read the actual topic.

These are becoming more often

Ya total fail I might die because of this dude...
At least they where not down for months or so because they got hacked...

Sony will never recover from this

I don't see why either side acts like these events are a win. I have both consoles (although I prefer my PS4) so don't bother calling me a fanboy. EVERY network has its issues including both Sony and Microsoft, get over it.

PS4 has had more problems online than the One... I like Microsoft a lot more but I'm sure the PS4 is just as good especially and obviously to Sony fans. It probably hasn't had much more problems than the One.

OT: This blows for some 360 players. Good thing I have the One now too

Don't be silly son,PS4 and XBOX ONE had some problems at launch with the servers, which was to be expected, muppet.

When did this become a console war?

OT: If people read, it's for Child Accounts on the 360, not every Xbox Live account known to man on every system the world has ever seen that uses Xbox Live. And honestly, that's not too many people. These sign in issues or other problems that occur on Xbox Live only last for a couple hours anyway, and I'm sure a majority of the child accounts had no problems signing in. The numbers related to this kind of thing is very limited.
