December Games with Gold freebies are Gears of War, Shoot Many Robots

Microsoft's Games with Gold program closes out 2013 with muscly shooter Gears of War (nope, no numbers at the end of that) and co-op run-and-gunner Shoot Many Robots. That means Gold members on Xbox 360 can download Gears of War for free between the 1st and 15th of December, then they can disembark the Cole Train and start to Shoot Many Robots on December 16, which stays free until the end of the year.

Microsoft plans to continue the Games with Gold program on Xbox 360 as an "ongoing benefit," and is extending it to the Xbox One in 2014 on a monthly basis.

The first and second were really the best ones though. How old a game is, shouldn't matter much for entertainment wise. I wish it was the second one they put for download though. The third one started killing it, the story line in the third one was awesome but the multiplayer wasn't that good compared to Gears of War 2 and everybody knows Judgement was a complete fail.

Only difference is you need to always have PS+ to play those games. It's practically renting.
yeah maybe so. but the games they offer are definitely worth it.

Weather it be a four old game or a six year old game or a game you played already does not change the fact it being given away for free and no one is forcing you to buy it. Can't tolerate a bunch of Richards complaining about free stuff.


It's the fact that it's already like $5. What's the point of giving it out for free then? Plus there are HOW MANY newer versions of the game? Half of which are roughly the same price. If they want to give out free games, give out something great like a Forza, Halo Reach, idk. Something that's worth getting. Otherwise they are wasting everyone's time and showing how little they actually care.
i totally agree. They give out really old games that really arnt worth getting, they just take up space.

Games with GOLD. You need gold to get them. When it comes down to it, it's basically the same thing but PSNs are better.

Actually, while I'm here, Ubisoft, why don't you give us a direct update to that, with better graphics, better animation and DON'T try to be like Call of Duty or Gears of War.

Let us use Kinect to take pics of our face/body, so you we can have different sizes/weights... That would truly be next Gen!!


It would be great if they actually did all of this.
