Microsoft acknowledges Xbox One online issues

Microsoft has responded to customer reports that online services for the Xbox One have experienced periodic outages.

Following the console's launch in Australia and Europe, Xbox One online services, including the official Xbox website, have experienced intermittent connection issues.

Microsoft has acknowledged the problems, and while online services are now restored the company assures users that it is investigating the cause of the problem.

"Microsoft can confirm that all online services have been restored. We are investigating the root cause of the disruption and will continue to keep customers updated as information becomes available," a Microsoft representative told Games Industry.

November 22 marks the launch date for Xbox One in Europe, Australia and North America. An Australian retailer has warned customers that stock of the console is rapidly depleting leading up to Christmas.

Meanwhile, Microsoft corporate VP Phil Harrison has acknowledged that the company will face challenges meeting demand in the period before Christmas.

ODST I'm still so confused as to how the "PS4 sucks" because of it's launch problems yet Xbone can't even connect to online and nobody cares. Fanboys are weird.


Very few people have experienced online issues and most likey can't connect well to the cloud.

idk what the hell your talking about but i can get online and do everything and i have not seen any pros with it

Cost I'm not getting my xbox one until next year but I expected this to happen anyways.


I'm not planning on getting a next generation console for atleast another few months, i would like them to fix some of the launch bugs first, and maybe wait for some more games to be released

Ted- This outage was expected on day one imo.


it is more or less inevitable with the huge amount of traffic that they will be getting over the next few days


I think there copping pretty well if its only short and not very frequent outages
