Battlefield 4 videos: PS4 vs Xbox One

Video footage comparing the Xbox One and PS4 editions of Battlefield 4 has begun to emerge online, providing further suggestions that the PlayStation version is technically superior.

Firstly, VideoGamer's early analysis suggests that Battlefield 4 features a subtler lighting engine on PS4, adding that the Xbox One's renders of polygonal models is "jaggier".

The commentators pointed out that both next-gen versions are commendably attractive.

EXACTLY, dont see why so many people are but hurt over it. I dont think 99.999999999999% of the players care

I prefer the lighting on Xbox one however it honestly depends on your opinion, i would prefer it darker because it would seem more realistic even though some people prefer different contrasts.

I really don't think that the difference is too significant to worry about. As long as i have the game running at a satisfactory standard then i am completely fine with it, regardless of the small differences between consoles

Echleon Watch it in HD. i like the lighting on Xbox one but the ps4 textures are smoother and the fps didnt drop as much.


I definitely have to agree with the texture situation on PS4, the PS4 looks like it had ~8x Anisotropic filtering whereas the Xbox didn't look to have any - Especially apparent when looking at the grenade-launcher part and taking a look at the electricity pylons.
