GTA Online repeat mission payouts reduced by 50% according to Rockstar

4.6
GTA Online has had its repeat mission payouts reduced by 50%, according to Rockstar which admitted the change wasn’t made very clear in the latest patch notes.

According to the developer, the first time a players beats a mission, they will receive the full amount but subsequent replays will see a payout amount reduced by half.

“This is to keep the game balanced as well as encourage the exploration of new missions and content in the game,” said Rockstar on the support site. “We understand players do like to enjoy a mission multiple times, so rather than remove the possibility of doing so, we’ve allowed replays of these missions at a reduced payout.

“Many players can get very good at a mission and beat it much faster in consecutive tries, so we’ve adjusted these payouts to match that case. This also ties in to our ongoing discussion of replay availability for NPC missions, in which we are taking community feedback as well.”

A couple users noted on the forum that the same could be said for repeating races, as players could easily become familiar with the race layouts yet the payout wasn’t reduced on these.

Dinosoar Defiantly understand why they have done this I think money was meant to be really hard to get to be honest.

Of course it was, it's so that people constantly bought their money backs. Takes me about 25K to fill out my pistol ammo and I'm only level 30. That's just pistol ammo, and that's fairly cheap compared to the other weapons.

ImgBurn They only did this to make people buy the money packs its a total con.

No they didn't. They did this so that you have to work harder to succeed.

Sure. But the fact that people were being cheap bastards and replaying missions for quick bucks was an even bigger con. Don't blame Rockstar, blame the idiots that abused it. That is why we can't have nice things.

I can understand why they did this.
The easier missions would just be played over and over which would lead to constant money farming.

Half the money isn't cool

YES! We can replay missions, but it sucks that we only get half of the payout! Also, does it just mean Missions, or Missions, Races, Deathmatchs, etc?

They should really fix the game instead of fixing the missions.

Dr-Ponyfile Interesting they have reduced the payout in my eyes they jsut want to make money from their cash packs.

i agree 100%, as long as they make more money, they dont care whether or not the "economy" is unbalanced

They are just like Microsoft, taking everyone's money. They made $1Billion in the first 3 days and yet they want more and more!

You guys know you can't buy cash packs right?????
