GTA Online Rockstar Announce Bans Are Coming Soon

With GTA Online being the centre of gaming for 2 weeks it seems rockstar have more on there hands than they every expected, as if the servers not working wasn't enough they now have to deal with glitches and money exploits. Rockstar have set out to ban anyone doing glitches than unbalances the online economy, in a custom care call rockstar said the following "We’re aware of the issue and until we can fix it, we’ll ban anyone with a history of abusing this design flaw. It will ruin others’ enjoyment by dis-balancing the economy that’s vital to the Online experience. We’re in discussion with Microsoft, too, to escalate these bans from online privileges to user accounts as a statement against these antics. We don’t expect any outrage from the law-abiding player base who haven’t devalued others’ items and hard-work with an exploit – these the customers we are proud to help" Nothing has been said about doing mission replays but taking the glitch to the next level with selling your personal car or bike can result in a ban in the near future.

banj0 You should not get banned for glitching. A glitch is a mistake in the game that has been caused by the game developers and there for it should be their responsibility to fix it. Sure people are exploiting the glitch but its the developers fault that the glitch exists in the first place.


If there is a bug in the game, people should not abuse or expoit it.

It's like stealing from a bank and then saying 'they can't punish me, they didn't stop me from stealing it'

No I think bans are perfect because of microtransaction. They basically lost money because people used the Exploit. 1.25 Million=20 Dollars. If you made 10 Million they lost 160 Dollars, and I don't think people can make 10 Million in jobs so fast unless they use the replay mission. If you earn money legitimately then you don't get a ban but if you do exploits then yes ban away.
I lost my entire garage, aloy of money guns + ammo, from online being **** buggy, if i get banned it's bs, i got money legit to buy my apartment weps and cars at first!! then i lost of it because of bugs in the servers, so i had rights to glitch my money to get what i bought before back, i also used real world money to buy 100k, because i had some money on xbl that i really didnt need. So if I get banned, thats complete bs.


You don't have the "right" to glitch your money back lmao.

Snag I believe I have made $4 million off of this glitch. More than enough to be banned. If I do get banned I won't be too upset because I realize that I went against their terms and services. But what I don't like is how they are trying to say that they are banning people because the glitch "unbalances the economy". Did they forget how they made cash packs? A level 10 could have $100 million from buying a bunch of cash packs, but this does not unbalance the economy? Personally I think they are just made because people who did this glitch will not have to buy their cash packs therefore they don't get to make a bunch more money off of kids that are too lazy to grind for their cash. So overall I'm not upset if they do pull out the ban hammer, I'm just upset with their pathetic excuse for it.


Thank you. You summed it up perfectly. Rockstar is full of shit when it comes to this game. The online isn't enjoyable anymore. The only thing you can do is missions, race, out stare at your friend's garage for 8 hours. I'm tired of waiting on this game to get good. This game was supposed to come out in the spring, then you had wait 5 months to release, then you had wait 2 weeks for the online to come out. Then you had to wait a week for the online to work for the majority of you and your friend's. Now you have to wait for the most talked about feature to be added. I'm sorry but Rockstar has completely dropped the ball.
