GTA Online Rockstar Announce Bans Are Coming Soon

With GTA Online being the centre of gaming for 2 weeks it seems rockstar have more on there hands than they every expected, as if the servers not working wasn't enough they now have to deal with glitches and money exploits. Rockstar have set out to ban anyone doing glitches than unbalances the online economy, in a custom care call rockstar said the following "We’re aware of the issue and until we can fix it, we’ll ban anyone with a history of abusing this design flaw. It will ruin others’ enjoyment by dis-balancing the economy that’s vital to the Online experience. We’re in discussion with Microsoft, too, to escalate these bans from online privileges to user accounts as a statement against these antics. We don’t expect any outrage from the law-abiding player base who haven’t devalued others’ items and hard-work with an exploit – these the customers we are proud to help" Nothing has been said about doing mission replays but taking the glitch to the next level with selling your personal car or bike can result in a ban in the near future.

Sounds good to me. Not only does Rockstar have service agreements, but so does Xbox. Bans are reasonable. Let's just see how much it makes a difference or how many actually get affected.

SkyDoesMods This is stupid, a ban from the server or a reset is more reasonable then a profile ban for a fault in the game that they made. If this is true most gta v players will be banned, and that's unfair, why not just fix the exploits via tu, and reset everyone who glitches bank accs... I currently have a legit 41.. with 10mill glitched.. and i spent all of the money except 100k of it.. also how will they even tell if a person glitched?


No I think bans are perfect because of microtransaction. They basically lost money because people used the Exploit. 1.25 Million=20 Dollars. If you made 10 Million they lost 160 Dollars, and I don't think people can make 10 Million in jobs so fast unless they use the replay mission. If you earn money legitimately then you don't get a ban but if you do exploits then yes ban away.


No, they do not loose any money by using this glitch, please use your brain.

They will even loose more money if they banned at least 3 million people who done this glitch.

Seems to me like R* is mad that people glitched ingame cash instead of spending real life cash to get ingame cash. Their fault really, deleting a percentage of the players characters and then the continued reappearance of the whole "cars in my garage are disappearing", with nothing being done about any of this by R*. Not really sure how they don't see it as their fault.

So were going to be punished? They should have thought of this, for example the store made not available when in sorry mode or when you click store and come back out of it, it launches you back to story mode to authenticate your purchase or w/e. they can't just full on account ban people for a flaw in there game. If I do receive a ban, the game will be returned. Fair enough resetting only money.
