Ever wondered what the PlayStation 4 startup beep sounds like? Well, it sounds a lot like the PlayStation 3's...

A video posted on Instagram last night by SCEE UK's PR manager reveals PlayStation 4's boot up sounds, including the beep and initial fan noise, with the former appearing identical to PS3's. You can take a listen to it below.

The Xbox One has a beeping noise as well and to everyone saying it "wakes everyone up", there is not way that little beep wakes anyone up unless the PS4 is right next to their head...

Yea the ps4 has a beeping noise why would anyone want it, i swear people get more autistic everyday.

I didn't know everyone had an Xbox One and it woke them up.. And the Xbox 360 doesn't have any beeping noises so I don't see why the Xbox One will.

The slim has a start up sound, and don't call me a fanboy I'm getting the xbox one.

I'm sorry, I must've slipped into the Xbox news articles. Allow me to excuse myself.

OT, the beeping noise isn't bad, at least it's not as loud as the Xbox slim's one (when you physically touch the power button).

As to the posters saying they hate the beeping sound BECAUSE it wakes everyone up; probably shouldn't be playing on the console (any) if you're trying to sneak in and play video games late at night. School or work is much more important than some video game that can wait till a little later in the day.
