Battlefield won't give up until it's 'number one'

Ahead of the game's October 29 launch, EA Games executive VP Patrick Soderlund recently talked up Battlefield 4, discussing the series' competition with Activision's Call of Duty.

"Competition is good. It brings the best out of people. If there was only Battlefield or only Call of Duty, then the development teams might have been a little bit more content," Soderlund told MCV. He added that the developer doesn't mimic Activision's efforts on the Call of Duty series.

"Maybe they weren't thinking about us much when we made Battlefield 3, but I can tell you, they are thinking about us now. They need to," Soderlund said. "We made a dent in the FPS market and we took share from them. And I am not going to give up until I'm No.1 and I am going to make sure I'm No.1."

GTA has nothing on the sales activision have got from Call of Duty lol, Rockstar is nowhere near #1


2 words... Record Holders.. Activision could only wish they was half as good as Rockstar and CoD can only dream of ever being anywhere near GTA in terms of quality.

Rockstar will be near number one soon. Activision only have the sales as they do an annual release with the same old stuff, but Rockstar spend time on their games its beat all of COD's Records making $800 Million in 24 hours says it all.

Still don't care i hate EA,Ubisoft,Activision,Capcom.I don't remember the last time i bought a game form them.

BATTLEFIELD - atleast you have the full experience in modern war fighting with driving flying shooting this is why by far they should be number 1 shoot em up

Battlefield should be, they put the most effort into their shooter and it shows. They have one of the best game engines IMO.
