Xbox One pre-orders placed beyond August 15 not guaranteed for launch

Amazon UK has sold out its allocation of Xbox One’s Day One Edition. It has now warned customers that orders that were placed for the Standard Edition after August 15 “will be received after release date.”

An update on the Amazon UK site states: “Please note – due to high demand, we are now out of stock of the Day One Edition Xbox One console and will not be taking further orders.” Orders for the Standard Edition are still being accepted, but these are not guaranteed to be available on launch day.

As things stand, GAME still appears to have Day One Editions available.

So, if you want one on launch day, it might be time to hurry.

I still prefer to go to the shop and pick mine up at midnight I have my pre order from last month so I am ok and I will be waiting 2 hours before to make sure I get my console good thing for me is its only a small shopping center not that many people :D.

Scared_of_Water Another great misleading title TTG but it's probably due to people in the counties where it's delayed are buying it from the UK.

Glad its only getting delayed in the UK :)

Sometimes Amazon ships a day or 2 early for the product to arrive on the release day but sometimes they underestimate the shipping companies and they work very quickly and some people will get it a day or two early :)


With my Amazon UK! experience I have had pre-ordered things arrive up to 2 weeks late, usually is it only 1 week though.
I got MW2 2 weeks early from launch...

Well the nearest GameStop is takes me 40 minutes to get to so... Which means after school I have to drive there pick it up and drive back. That takes about two hours. Also have stuff usually after school so it's very inconvenient. So just because you don't use Amazon doesn't mean every person is like you.
